In recent news received from Mozambique, National Leader, Pastor Marcos Binda talks about food distribution to those who were affected by Cyclone Idai last year. A few weeks ActionOvereas was able to send the final instalment of money from the disaster appeal funds to Malawi and Mozambique. Marcos confirmed that over 350 families received food and seeds in this current round of aid support. The photos show some of the recipients with Maize and seed.
Marcos also goes on to talk about the impact of the government lockdown on the churches. Initially they were allowed to meet in groups of up to 50 people but that has now been reduced. Many of the pastors and leaders, however, are continuing to visit the various members at their homes to bring encouragement and support and are still doing evangelism as they travel around. Over the period of lockdown almost 70 people have committed their lives to Christ and when the lockdown is eased they are ready to plant 2 new churches. Pray for these new believers and for these new church plants that are in the pipeline. We thank God for those who have found their freedom in spite of lockdown.
