As part of our ‘2020 Vision’ we regularly updated you with the progress of church planting and new disciples across the globe. In Mozambique alone we saw over 300 churches planted and more than 13,000 people coming to faith in Christ.
It is exciting to know that this exponential growth is still continuing. Since the turn of the year the church in Mozambique, despite lockdown restrictions, has planted 2 new churches including one in the capital city, Maputo. Over 560 new believers have been recorded this year. We receive news on almost a weekly basis of new converts and baptisms. On 20th June for example we heard of 5 souls saved in the city of Beira and 18 baptised in Nampula, in the north of the country.
In conjunction with the Mozambican national leadership team, we are pioneering the GROW training materials in different locations to disciple and equip the leaders of the many new church plants so that they can also teach their congregations.
Continue to pray for the leaders as they plant new churches and disciple these new believers and for the success of the GROW training initiative.
